Incredible fresh air. Purely Exhilarating.

The towns of Petoskey, Harbor Springs and Boyne City have achieved stature as a classic Michigan destination due to their enduring allure and irrepressible freshness.

The magic appeal of this gathering of resort communities in northwest Michigan are the memories they generate.  Perhaps when a visitor was two years old, a memory was born of  sitting on a bench in a Victorian downtown shopping district having an ice cream cone.  Others may recall being a 10-year-old running with delight into the crystal clear waters of Little Traverse Bay.

Still more stories include the exhilaration of jet skiing.  The peacefulness of hiking or biking through magnificent forests.  And of course, teeing it up for the first time on one of our nationally regarded golf courses.

If you've been here before, we invite you to return and add another chapter to your northwest Michigan story.  If you're planning your first visit, your best vacation ever is close at hand.  Your story awaits.

April 19 - July 26, 2008

It has been forty years since photojournalist Bill Eppridge was assigned the task of following Bobby Kennedy and capturing on film his 1968 presidential campaign.  In the Edith Gilbert Gallery at the Crooked Tree Arts Center, more than 40 photographs taken by Eppridge during the days just before and after the assassination of Bobby Kennedy will be on exhibit. Be sure to visit this historical exhibition during regular gallery hours, Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
